Vendors sought for Waverly’s Market in the Park

WAVERLY, MN – Waverly’s farmers market is looking for vendors for its inaugural 2012 season. The market will be open every Saturday Memorial Day weekend to the last weekend in September.
The market will be open from sunrise to 12:30 p.m. in Waverly’s Railroad Park.
The market committee is looking for vendors selling homegrown or homemade goods. Contact the committee at waverlymarketinthe park@gmail.com for more information about reserving a space.

A summer of improvement for Waverly

WAVERLY, MN – With street repair on Maple Avenue, a plan for eventual water rate reduction, and a first-ever farmers market, the Waverly City Council is working toward continual improvement in the city.
At its meeting Tuesday, the council passed a resolution authorizing the issuance of $400,000 in general obligation water revenue bonds, and authorizing the city to enter into an agreement with the Public Facilities Authority.
The majority of the bonds ($345,000) will help finance work on Maple Avenue. The remainder of the bonds will go toward new water meters for older houses in Waverly.
