HT election luncheon Nov. 7

An election day luncheon is set for Tuesday, Nov. 7 in the Holy Trinity Church social hall in Winsted. A bake sale and country store will open at 9 a.m. Lunch will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Menu includes homemade chicken noodle soup, chili, pie, and ice cream. A raffle is also part of the event.

LP parking ban

The annual citywide parking ban in Lester Prairie went into effect Nov. 1. Parking is prohibited on any city street from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. from Nov. 1 through April 1.

Magic show at HL Library Saturday

Magic Bob and the Boo-tiful Lynn Marie will present a fun-filled magic show featuring hilarious comedy and masterful illusions. A quirky and interactive “play-scape” will inspire kids to use their imaginations and to discover that, through reading, anything is possible. For all ages. Registration not required. This event will be held at the library Saturday, Nov. 4 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Co-sponsored by the Howard Lake Friends of the Library.

Funeral notice: James H. Stello, 68, of Watertown

WATERTOWN, MN – James Henry Stello, 68, of Watertown, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017, at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia. A memorial service will take place Friday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Watertown. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church, prior to the service. Inurnment with military honors will take place at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Arrangements are with the Iten’s Watertown Funeral Home.

LP flushing hydrants

LESTER PRAIRIE – Weather permitting, the Lester Prairie maintenance department will be flushing water hydrants the week of Nov. 6. Temporary drops in water pressure and water discoloration may occur. Residents are advised to let water run clear before washing white or light-colored clothes.
