DASSEL, COKATO, MN – The mandatory eligibility meeting for Dassel-Cokato School athletics and fine arts will be Thursday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center for all seventh through 12th grade participants and their parents/guardians, followed by fall team meetings.
Online registration is now available at www.chargeractivities.com for the 2015-16 school year. Paper registrations are no longer accepted.
Two online registration sessions (Tuesday, July 28 at 7 p.m., and Wednesday, Aug. 5 at 7 p.m.) will be available at the high school to anyone who doesn’t have Internet access or who would like assistance with registering.
A sports physical is required for all athletes (not fine arts), and generally is needed in seventh and 10th grades. This physical is good for three years.
Concussion testing is required for all athletes (grades seven through 12). Concussion tests are good for two years. Concussion testing will be scheduled for the fall, winter, and spring seasons for athletes that need to test or retest (grades seven through 12). All concussion testing will take place in the high school or middle school. Participants should meet by the activities office before the testing begins.
Fall concussion testing dates
• Ninth-12th grade football: Monday, Aug. 10, 7-8 a.m
• Seventh-12th grade cross country: Thursday, Aug. 13, 8-9 a.m.
• Seventh-12th grade girls swim and dive; and ninth-12th grade volleyball: Monday, Aug. 17, 7-8 a.m.
• Seventh and eighth grade volleyball: Thursday, Aug. 20, 8-9 a.m.
• Seventh and eighth grade football: Wednesday, Aug. 26, 3-4 p.m.

After all of the registration requirements have been met, each participant is required to pick up an eligibility card in the activities office. The participant must present the eligibility card to the coach/director before they will be allowed to practice.
The activity fee (per activity) will be $60 for seventh- and eighth-graders; and $80 for ninth- through 12th-graders; with an individual student cap of $160 per year.
Paperwork for volunteer workers to sign up will be available Monday, Aug. 3 in the activities office. For every six events worked, the volunteer may choose to waive an activity fee or receive a free annual pass.
