Isadore S. Helmbrecht, 86, of Hollywood Township, Mayer passed away May 14 at his residence.
Visitation will take place Thursday, May 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday, May 18 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, with Father Tony Hesse will be the Celebrant. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Athletic Awards Ceremony – Will take place Monday, May 21 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium recognizing all athletes that have lettered in a varsity sport during the past year. We will also be honoring our Senior Athletes as well Male & Female Athlete of the Year, leadership awards and volunteer awards. Please join us for the ceremony with refreshments to follow.
STUDENTS/ATHLETES: Application forms for the summer speed and agility camp through Ridgeview Sports Medicine are available in the High School Office. Please return completed forms to Mr. Decker ASAP.
BASEBALL: Double Header games at home today with Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa; first pitch is 4 p.m. JV will play at the High School.
Auditions for ‘Brigadoon’ at Community Theatre at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. Auditions will take place Tuesday, May 22 or Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 p.m. at HLWW High School, 8700 County Road 6 SW, Howard Lake. Auditions will consist of a short prepared song of your choosing (accompanist provided) and cold readings from the script. Actors, musicians (pit), lighting, sound, technical crew, set, costume, marketing, and volunteer help are needed. Rehearsals are planned for June-July, Monday-Fridays beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. Performances will take place Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, July 15 – time to be determined.

A memorial service will take place Thursday, May 17 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pelican Lake at 2 p.m. A gathering of friends and relatives will take place one hour prior to the service.

Zane John Major, 83, of Howard Lake passed away May 12 at St. Mary’s Care Center in Winsted.
Memorial services will take place Sunday, May 20 at 2 p.m. at St. James Lutheran Church in Howard Lake. A gathering of family and friends will take place one hour prior to the services. Rev. Michael Nirva will officiate at the services.
