LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – A community sandwich-making project will take place Thursday, May 16 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lester Prairie. This is an outreach to inner-city homeless. This project takes place the third Thursday each month.
NEW GERMANY, MN – Camden Township and the City of New Germany are working together on a cleanup day project Saturday, May 18 • 7 to 11 a.m. at the City of New Germany shed, 250 State Avenue. There will not be a fee on miscellaneous junk that goes directly into the garbage truck. Items that cannot be accepted include hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs, tractor tires or auto batteries. WINSTED, MN – The Winsted Lake Watershed Association will host its annual plant sale Thursday, May 16 and Friday, May 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday, May 18 from 8 a.m. to noon. The sales will take place in the white garage building, north of Winsted City Hall, across the street from Holy Trinity School. Donated perennial and houseplants, garden art, pails, or bags of black dirt, and a variety of annual flowers and vegetables will be offered. A potting service is available for a small fee.
