LP students encouraged to participate in Lions writing contest

Howard Lake City Council discusses engineering updates

During the workshop session Tuesday, the Howard Lake City Council reviewed the completed County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 7 feasibility study. The study proposed a lake-side 8-foot paved shoulder, with a 2-foot buffer.

Important Notes and Reminders:

 

Reminder for after-school bus riders: The first route for in-town riders leaves at 3:05. Out-of-town students riding the later bus need to sit by their lockers until the buses return. Students should be at Door F by 3:15.

 

Are you in grades 9 – 12?   Do you need ca$h?   Can you write 500 words?

Consider participating in the Lions Write Off Contest! The topic is serving others with kindness and compassion. Grades 9-12 should have received an email with the information, but if you need a copy or more information, contact Ms. Carmine (Room 102).

If you are interested in zero hour morning weightroom class, the sign-up sheet is in the office.    Please sign up by TODAY.  See Mr. Weber if you have any questions.
9-12 boys who want to play FB this fall:   Practice starts TODAY at 3:20 sharp.
All paperwork must also be handed in before you may practice.
We will practice M-Th for 3 weeks.
These are MSHSL sanctioned practices and will be counted toward your Ironman patch. – Coach Scoblic

LP approves preliminary levy increase of 4.9 percent

FOR SUBSCRIBERS:

Lester Prairie City Council, during Tuesday’s meeting, adopted a preliminary levy of $1,086,127 for 2021, which represents an increase of 4.9 percent from the 2020 actual levy of $1,035,393.
