LP referendum meetings set

LESTER PRAIRIE, MN – Informational meetings regarding the Lester Prairie school referendum will take place July 23  and Aug. 7  at 7 p.m. in the school media center.  The district encourages all community members to either go to the polls Aug. 13 or vote early with an absentee ballot available at the school office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or 8 to 11:30 a.m. Fridays.

Wright County Fair starts July 24

WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – The Wright County Fair will run from Wednesday, July 24 to Sunday July 28 at the Wright County Fairgrounds in Howard Lake. See the community spotlight in this issue for more information.

Community meal in Winsted July 25

WINSTED, MN – St John’s Lutheran Church, Winsted will host a community meal Thursday, July 25 at 5:30 p.m. The meal is free, but donations are accepted. All are welcome, as this is a community fellowship opportunity. Anyone wishing to help or in need of transportation may call the church at 320-485-2522.

Mayer car and cycle night Wednesday

MAYER, MN – The public is welcome to display their vehicles and enjoy refreshments, crafts and vendors in Mayer Wednesday, Jul7 17 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Love INC open house

HOWARD LAKE, MN – In celebration of its expansion to the upstairs, Love INC will host a grand opening event at 830 Hwy. 12 in Howard Lake Friday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be free snacks and drinks, and attendees can register to win door prizes.
Specials include 25 percent off all items upstairs, and fill a bag with clothes or toys for $10. All prices will be good through July.
Features include a bedroom section, “as is” section, and clearance section.

Winsted Wildcats fan appreciation game

WINSTED, MN – The Winsted Wildcats will host an annual fan appreciation game and raffle Sunday, July 14 at 1 p.m. at Denis M. Campbell Field. There will be a raffle for many prizes including two vouchers for the 2020 Winstock Country Music Festival and a processed hog. There will also be a kids bike raffle for those 15 years of age and younger. A potluck picnic will follow the game.
