Audience interactive theater more difficult

I have to hand it to the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted drama club tackling a difficult theater production, an audience interactive murder mystery. The club intends to perform “Three Doors to Death” March 8. An audience interactive theater production means the actors and actresses can’t rely on a script to know what to do next. Much of their performance will be improvisation. Their only guide will be the character of the person the actress or actor is playing. As long as they stay in character they respond to whatever way the audience reacts. If there is more than one performance, every performance will be different. It’s hard enough to memorize all the lines for a regular play, stay in character, know how to move around the stage at the right times, etc. Add to that, reacting to the audience and having the plot change according to the audience makes it seem so much more difficult. Break a leg, HLWW cast!
