Area schools graduate class of 2009

GLENCOE, WATERTOWN, MAYER, BROWNTON – Several area schools had their graduation ceremonies for the class of 2009 last weekend.
Glencoe-Silver Lake High and Stevens Seminary handed out 135 diplomas Friday, the McLeod County Chronicle reported. Valedictorian was Alethea Roe, and salutatorian was Lisa Broderius.
Watertown-Mayer High School also had commencement exercises Friday, the Carver County News reported.
Twenty-three seniors received their diplomas Sunday at the final McLeod West commencement ceremony. Valedictorian was Kaycie Lindeman.
Mayer Lutheran High School also had its graduation service Sunday. Valedictorian was Lael Radde.
