Howard lake, MN –Traffic had to be detoured around a semi vs. bridge underpass crash this morning (Friday) in Howard Lake.
Local residents indicate that around 9 a.m., the trailer of a semi-truck made contact with the top of the underpass bridge on County Road 6 in the City of Howard Lake, preventing use of the roadway well into the afternoon.
Local law enforcement and crash clean-up crews remained on the scene for several hours. There were no immediate reports of injury, but reports indicate the vehicle sustained significant damage.
The limited clearance underpass has been the sight of numerous incidents of vehicle vs. bridge strikes for many years.
