A great experience

GLENCOE, MN – The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and McLeod County Chapter of Pheasants Forever sponsored the 2009 Youth Mentor Pheasant Hunt Oct. 24.

Firearms safety, target shooting, proper care of game, and time spent in the field hunting were all parts of the event hosted on the farm of Mark and Sue Reinert of Glencoe. A total of eight youth hunters bagged 11 roosters in a morning and early afternoon of hunting. Pictured above are: front – Michael Ahlbrecht, Travis Bayerl, and Mitchell Roth of Lester Prairie; back – Jake Wendland of Hutchinson, Zach Roth of Lester Prairie, host Derek Lewin of Glencoe, host Mark Reinert of Glencoe, and Kia Peterson of Waconia. The youth hunters also received a cap for their commitment to the future of conservation and hunting.
