Thanks for offering this rain garden solution for run off water. As a member of the Howard Lake Watershed Alliance, rain gardens are a valuable addition to your yard, or ditch. The gardens can be as elaborate or as simple as the homeowner desires. The lakes and rivers are affected by all citizens whether they live on or near this type of body of water. Being conscientious of no-phosopherous fertilizers, grass clipping mowed back into the yard rather than on the ashpalt may seem like small endeavors but if everyone becomes conscious of their effect on the waterways, lakes and streams and even our ground water will be healthier. Thanks again Lynda for sharing the rain garden idea.
